5.1 How consent works on this site
When you first visit www.ezydog.eu you are shown a consent banner provided by Usercentrics. You can accept all cookies, deny all non-essential cookies, or open the settings and choose category by category. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by reopening the consent settings from the icon shown on the page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of anything we did before you withdrew.
We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google tags on our site adjust their behaviour according to the choice you make.

Where a provider is added or removed, we update this table.
Most browsers accept cookies by default and let you delete or block them through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working. Browser settings are not a substitute for the consent controls described in section 5.1, and changing your choice through our consent settings is the more reliable route.
6. Advertising, retargeting and audience matching
This section describes what we actually do, in plain terms.
Retargeting. If you consent to advertising cookies, advertising platforms can recognise your browser or device and show you EzyDog advertising on their own services and on other websites after you have visited ours.
Audience matching. With your consent, we upload identifiers such as your email address to advertising platforms so that they can match you against their own users. The email address is hashed before it leaves our systems, which means it is converted into a fixed-length code rather than sent as readable text. Matching still identifies you to that platform if you are already one of their users, so we treat this as a disclosure of your personal data to that platform and not as anonymisation.
We use audience matching to show advertising to existing customers, to exclude existing customers from campaigns aimed at finding new customers, and to build "lookalike" or "similar" audiences of people whose behaviour resembles our customers.
We currently do this with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, for Facebook and Instagram Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences, and with Google Ireland Limited, for Google Customer Match.
How to stop it.
-
Change your cookie preferences on our site at any time. See section 5.1.
-
Email info@ezydog.eu and ask to be suppressed from our audience uploads across every platform we use. We will action this and confirm it to you.
-
Use the platforms' own controls, at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences and https://adssettings.google.com
-
Use browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control where they are supported.
Opting out of advertising does not mean you stop seeing advertising. It means the advertising you see will be less relevant to you. It is also separate from opting out of our email and SMS marketing, which is covered in section 8.
7. Reviews, photographs and other content you submit
If you submit a product review, a photograph, a video, or other content, that content may be published on our website and may also be used in our marketing.
We may use your review text, your first name, the initial of your surname, your general location if you gave it, your dog's name and breed if you gave them, and any image you submitted, in:
-
Marketing emails and SMS
-
Paid advertising on social media and search platforms
-
Organic social media posts
-
Product pages, landing pages and other content on our site
-
Printed materials, in-store materials, and trade and wholesale materials
We do not publish your full surname, your email address, your postal address or your order details.
Your choices. You can ask us to remove your review, or to stop using your content, at any time by emailing info@ezydog.eu. We will remove it from our website and stop using it in new marketing within a reasonable period. Marketing that has already been printed, published or distributed cannot always be recalled, and advertising already in circulation may continue to appear until that campaign ends.
8. Email and SMS marketing
We send you marketing by email or SMS only where you have consented to receive it. Every marketing message identifies EzyDog as the sender and contains a working way to opt out.
You can stop marketing at any time:
-
Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
-
Reply STOP to any marketing SMS, or follow the opt-out instruction in the message
-
Update your preferences in your account
-
Email info@ezydog.eu
We will still send you transactional messages after you unsubscribe, such as order confirmations, delivery updates, returns correspondence and customer service replies. These are not marketing.
9. Who we share your personal data with
-
Service providers acting on our instructions, under written data processing agreements. These cover our store platform, hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, warehousing and delivery, customer service, email and SMS marketing, reviews, returns, analytics and IT support. The providers that operate on our site are named in section 5.3.
-
Advertising platforms, as described in section 6, where you have consented.
-
Delivery carriers, so that your order can be delivered to you.
-
Professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers.
-
Other companies in the EzyDog group, where this is needed to run the business.
-
Public authorities, regulators and courts, where we are legally required to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights or to respond to a serious threat to safety.
-
A buyer or successor, in connection with a sale, merger or restructure of our business, subject to confidentiality undertakings.
We do not sell your personal data.
10. Sending data outside the European Economic Area
Some of our providers are established outside the EEA, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we rely on one of the following:
-
An adequacy decision of the European Commission covering the destination country
-
The EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under it
-
Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, together with any additional measures our transfer risk assessment identifies as necessary
You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards we have in place by emailing info@ezydog.eu.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
-
Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
-
Rectification of personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
-
Erasure of your personal data, where one of the grounds in Article 17 applies
-
Restriction of our processing, in the circumstances set out in Article 18
-
Data portability, meaning a copy of the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and transmission of it to another controller where that is technically feasible
-
Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time, without giving a reason, and we will stop.
-
Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on your consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
-
Not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you
To exercise any of these rights, email info@ezydog.eu. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we will do that using information we already hold wherever possible rather than asking you for identity documents.
We will respond within one month. If your request is complex, or if you have made a number of requests, we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you within the first month if we need to.
We do not charge for these requests. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline it, and we will explain why.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at info@ezydog.eu so that we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in the member state where you live, where you work, or where you believe the problem occurred.
The supervisory authority for the Netherlands is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl Telephone 088 1805 250 Postbus 93374, 2509 AJ Den Haag, Netherlands
A list of all EEA supervisory authorities is available at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members
If you are in the United Kingdom, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk
13. How we protect your personal data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. These include access controls, encryption in transit, limiting access to staff and providers who need it, and contractual security obligations on our providers.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we will notify you directly where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you.
14. Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@ezydog.eu and we will delete it.
15. Other websites
Our site contains links to websites we do not control, including social media platforms and the websites of our stockists. This policy does not apply to them. Read their own privacy notices before giving them your personal data.
16. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year, and we update it whenever our practices change. We will post the updated policy here and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will tell registered customers directly.
